This fan final assembly line is developed for mass assembly of household and commercial fans including pedestal fans, table fans, air circulators and industrial fans. It is a non-standard double-speed-chain (speed chain) assembly and conveying system, serving as the main production line for fan OEMs. The entire fan production line arranges workstations strictly following the forward assembly process logic of fan units, covering base loading, motor pre-assembly, fan frame marriage, blade and guard assembly, control module and wiring harness installation, housing closing, power-on run-in, performance testing and full offline inspection. The line adopts speed-chain conveyor with anti-static pallet, supports flexible mixed-model production and fast changeover among different base sizes, motor specifications and appearance styles. It meets the standardized, scalable and continuous mass-production needs of small and medium fan and small-appliance manufacturers, improving assembly consistency and delivery efficiency.
Main Speed-Chain Conveyor Line
As shown in the on-site photo, the core conveying mechanism is a double-speed (speed) chain conveyor with green anti-static pallets. Black speed chains run longitudinally along both sides of a green aluminum extrusion frame; pallets carrying fan units step along the line and are stopped by stoppers at each station for two-sided manual assembly. The green aluminum extrusion frame is light in weight, rigid and easy to reconfigure. Pallets are covered with green anti-static surface, suitable for clean assembly of small home appliances and consumer electronics. The full-line electrical system supports precise station stop, segmented speed regulation and emergency stop interlock, delivering stable, low-noise operation for continuous mass production.
Pre-assembly Auxiliary Workstation Module
The line includes split pre-assembly stations: motor pre-assembly bench, blade pre-assembly station, control board and harness pre-assembly station, and guard pre-assembly station. Components such as motors, control boards and harnesses that are complex and time-consuming are pre-assembled and pre-tightened offline, inspected, then transferred to the main line for integrated marriage. This reduces main-line workload, eliminates accumulation at stations, balances the takt time of the whole fan production line, and improves Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
Assembly Auxiliary System
As shown on site, each station is equipped with overhead pneumatic tool balancers, retractable white air hoses (the transparent branch lines seen alongside the products) and stabilized air supply piping, providing continuous air for pneumatic screwdrivers and tightening guns in high-frequency assembly. Material racks are layered along the green extrusion frame for near-point storage and picking, reducing walking and searching time. Long LED lighting and green management boards are mounted overhead, making material and production instructions visual on the shop floor, in line with lean production layout. Operators wear uniforms, anti-dust caps, safety goggles and gloves, meeting the appearance-protection and clean-assembly requirements of small home appliance assembly.
Final Testing & Offline Section
The end of the line integrates power-on run-in and factory inspection, covering power-on function test, motor speed verification, button/remote control test, oscillation test, insulation and withstand-voltage safety test, and appearance recheck. Qualified units flow directly to packing; defective units go through an independent rework branch, separating conforming flow from non-conforming handling. The red banner on site — "do not accept defects, do not make defects, do not ship defects" — is enforced at the final inspection stations.
Multi-model Flexible Compatibility
The fan production line adopts a modular design of speed chain and universal pallets. Pallet fixtures can be quickly changed over, accommodating table fans, pedestal fans, air circulators and industrial fans with different base sizes, guard specifications and control methods. A single fan assembly line realizes mixed-model small-batch production without building duplicate lines, reducing fixed-asset investment.
Speed-Chain Pallet Conveyor for Light, Smooth Flow
As shown on site, compared with heavy slat chains, the speed-chain + pallet format better suits fan-type small home appliances: flat anti-static pallets prevent surface scratching; aluminum extrusion frames are easy to modify; low noise and stable takt support long double-shift or three-shift operation.
Customizable Takt Time & Layout
Process man-hours are broken down according to the customer's output target and workshop manpower; standard takt can be planned within 3~10 minutes per unit, matching annual capacity from 50,000 to 500,000 fan units. The whole fan production line can be non-standardized in layout — linear, return, L-shaped — based on workshop dimensions, door positions and material flow direction.
Safety Interlock & Electrical Control
Emergency stop buttons, safety guardrails and photoelectric devices are installed at each station; automatic alarm and shutdown trigger on part shortage, jamming or equipment faults. The line uses centralized PLC control with stable logic and can connect to MES for workstation counting, output statistics, equipment status monitoring and production traceability, meeting smart-management requirements of modern small-appliance factories.
